Button Tree

Marcella and I worked on this tree.

The idea came from a Pinterest post.  Cameron changed this one with some 3-D grass from molding paste.

Paper Flower in 3-D

Marcella made this 3-D paper flower from card stock.
It took a lot of time & hot glue!  :-)  Gorgeous!

Pom-Pom Pups

These were made from a Klutz kit!  So cute! Marcella made the black Scottie & Cameron made the Chihuahua.

Summer Projects

Wow! This summer flew by, but the girls and I managed to do a few projects.

Ribbon Topiary

Marcella had fun creating this ribbon tree.  She cut 120 4" pieces of ribbon and pinned them to a 6" floral foam ball.
Putting air-dry clay in pot to secure the dowel.

A ribbon tree!

This was the girls' first attempt at a mural -- cheerful, bright, and beautiful.

Melted Crayons

Cameron really got into melting crayons with the hair dryer!

She painted the background and an elephant silhouette.  Then, she glued down some crayon shavings.  The hairdryer on high heat, low fan was enough to melt the crayons and get the colors moving!

      Awesome!

Pillows

Sometimes kits are just the right thing.  Everything is ready for you to do a quick craft.  These owl pillows were part of an American Girl craft.
Nicely done!

Paint on Glass

The girls and I saw a framed piece of glass with a silhouette at a craft store.  They decided to paint one of the frames from our "stained-glass" window on a frame, leaving a lot of unpainted space for the wall to show through.

These look even better in their rooms with the
paint of their walls showing.
